Cromwell Golf Club
The Cromwell Golf Club was established in 1903 and is located in Neplusultra Street, Cromwell. The 18-hole tournament course is widely considered to be one of the best and most challenging rural courses in the South Island.
Situated alongside Lake Dunstan, the Cromwell course is a layout that will challenge the championship player, while providing plenty of enjoyment for the longer handicapper or social golfer;
Firm and gently undulating fairways are set amongst sand dunes and plantings of marram grass. The course is fully irrigated to maintain perfect playing conditions year-round.
The mini-golf course is in a picturesque setting behind the 'big fruit' and beside the skateboard park in Murray Terrace. The well set out course has 18 longer than average holes with a variety of challenges.
The Tarras Golf Club was established in 1956 in the heart of Central Otago’s sheep farming country. Just outside the village, it is located along State Highway 8, North of Cromwell and East of Wanaka.
Tarras Golf Club is one of the few remaining original rural golf courses in New Zealand where sheep graze the fairways and small fences around the greens make sure the animals don’t touch the putting surface!
